Let me tell you some easy ways to CARE for me, your liver!!

• Don’t drown me in beer, alcohol or wine.Even one drink is too much for some people and could scar me for life.

• Watch👀those drugs!!!All drugs are chemicals and when you mix them without a doctor’s advice, you could create something poisonous that could damage me badly. I scar easily… and those scars called “Cirrhosis” are permanent.   Medicine is sometimes necessary. But taking pills when they aren’t necessary is a bad habit. All those chemicals can really hurt ME.

• Be careful with AEROSOL sprays!

• Remember, I have to detoxify what you breathe in, too. So when you are cleaning with aerosol cleaners, make sure the room is ventilated, or wear a mask. That goes double for bug sprays, mildew sprays, paint sprays and all those other chemical sprays you use. Be careful what you breathe in.

• Watch what gets in your skin! Those insecticides you put on trees and shrubs not only kill bugs but they can get me right through your skin and destroy my cells too. Remember, they’re all chemicals.

• Cover your skin with gloves, long sleeves, a hat and mask every time insecticides are in the air or if you’re handling them.

• **WARNING: I can’t and won’t tell you when I’m in trouble until I’m almost at the end of my rope… and yours. Remember, I’m a non-complainer. Overloading me with drugs, alcohol and other junks could destroy me! This may be the only warning sign you will ever get.

• TAKE MY ADVICE PLEASE!Check me out with your doctor: Blood screening tests could identify some trouble.If I’m soft and smooth, that’s good. If I’m hard and bumpy, that could means trouble.

The gift of Dhul Hijjah

Asalam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. Eid Mubarak in advance. May Allah Subhana wa Ta Allah accept and reward our acts of ibadah. Amin.

As we hope and count down to witness another Eid ul Adah, I pray that Allah Subhana wa Ta Allah grants us the grace of patience as we go about our preparation. Whether you are travelling by public transport, or your customers not giving you discount (after patronizing them for so long, lol), or your tailor deciding to make something totally different from what you discussed (well, nothing for him again), or your customers asking why their Sallah hamper is smaller than last year's (seriously!, just return the hamper, Lol), I urge you to be patient and be at your best behaviour. It's not easy but do it for the love of Allah. Try to make the most of these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah.

 Here are some tips to make the most of the Day of Arafah In shaa Allah:

1. Sleep early the night before to strengthen yourself for the special day.

2. Wake up before Fajr for suhoor.

3. Make wudoo, while consciously remembering that your sins are being washed away till the last drop of water.

Pray at least 4 rakahs of qiyam and make dua'a for your deen & dunya in your sujood. Cry to Allah, showing Him humility & ask Him to give you tawfeeq on this great day, and thank Him for making you of those who would experience this special occasion.

4. Spend some time making Istighfar before Fajr, to be like the righteous whom Allah described as “seeking forgiveness before dawn.”

5. Repeat after Fajr adhan & make duaa. Pray Fajr. Sit in your prayer place and do your morning adhkar. Make tasbeeh, tahleel, tahmeed, & takbeer. And as the Prophet Muhammad (Sallal laahu alaihi wa sallam) advised, increase in “la ilaha illallah, wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd, wa huwa ala kulli shay’in qadeer.” Recite. Pray Salaat al-ishraaq (a two-rak‘ah prayer that is offered after the sun has risen and become high)

6. If you’re able to stay awake by all means, do so and do not waste a single minute. If you need to sleep, take a nap with the conscious intention of energizing yourself for the worship of Allah.

7. When you wake up, make wudoo and pray at least 4 rakahs of nafilah . Then recite lots of Quran and make the dhikr mentioned above in breaks in between.

(Make dhikr after Dhuhr as you prepare food or as you do what is absolutely necessary.)

8. After Asr, say the evening adhkar. Then recite Quran again till about an hour before Maghrib. At that point, make LOTS of duaa till Maghrib, while having yaqeen that Allah will answer. (making a duaa list ahead of time helps!) Beg that the day will not come to an end except that Allah has forgiven you all your sins and written you of those He has freed from the Fire.

May Allah Subhana wa Ta Allah make it easy for us to make the most of our time. Amin.

In these tough times, It's really sad to hear that people are being scammed. You've probably heard about this company called MMM Federal Republic of Nigeria that claims to be a network marketing company. Unfortunately, its nothing but an "adashe" ponzi scheme where you don't know how many people are contributing to the pool and if your turn will come.

Because of the need for money in these difficult times, it's easy to fall prey to these kinds of scams. The start up fee is small so the attraction is great. But let's be honest with ourselves any real business will require some real capital proportionate to whatever you are getting into.
